Two forward leaps bring Iran weeks away from weapons-grade uranium
Production of Iran’s first batch of uranium yellowcake marked just one of Tehran’s two nuclear leaps forward ahead of the resumption of its nuclear talks with the Six Powers in Geneva Monday, December 6, after a 14-month interruption. The second breakthrough was not made public. DEBKAfile‘s military and intelligence sources disclose that after a huge effort, Iran was able to sit down with those powers having piled up 23.5 kilos of 19.75 percent enriched uranium. By January or early February, this amount can be topped [up] to the full 28.2 kilos needed for producing 90 percent weapons grade uranium for fueling a nuclear bomb or warhead. The first batch of yellowcake, announced Sunday over state TV by Iranian Atomic Energy Organization head Ali Akbar Salehi, who leads his delegation the Geneva talks, comes from the Gachin mine in southern Iran. Sent to Isfahan for conversion, it enables Iran to produce its own raw material for the uranium powder used in the process of creating nuclear fuel and [it] no longer depends on imported ore . . . Despite the six-day shutdown of the Natanz uranium enrichment plant from November 16-22, due to an invasion by the Stuxnet malworm and the serious injury suffered by Professor Fereydoun Abbasi, Director of Centrifuge Operations, the Iranian program has managed to come within touching distance of its goal: It is only 4.7 kilos short of the 28.2 kilos of 19.75 percent enriched uranium needed for going into weapons-grade production. The Iranians need no more than a few weeks, up to early February at the latest, to reach that goal. Report: U.S. has failed to curb Damascus’ interference in Lebanon
Israeli official says Syrians escorting arms shipments into neighbor … adds strike still an option
BEIRUT — The Obama administration’s efforts at dialogue with Syria have done little to counter its interference in Lebanon, which has undermined the United States’ efforts to promote Lebanese independence from external actors, said a report in the Washington Post over the weekend. Also to the dismay of the US, Syria’s alliance with Iran remains strong. The US, according to the Washington Post report, has hoped to drive a wedge between Syria and Iran, in part to stop the flow of weapons to Hizbullah. “But Syria’s support of Hizbullah remains robust,” the US daily said. An Israeli military official told The Washington Post that Israeli surveillance tracks the nighttime missile shipments as Syrian personnel escort them from clandestine bases in Syria to the Lebanese border. At the swap area, the weapons are transferred to Lebanese trucks and driven into southern Lebanon and to Beirut, the Israeli military official said. Asked about the likelihood of Israel striking at the border transfer area or one of the camps inside Syria, the military official said: “This is definitely one of the options Israel has. Of course any attack like this could lead to an escalation.” “[The US] persuading Syria to break its alliance with Hizbullah’s chief patron, Iran, would be a key step toward ending the shipments,” The US daily said … [emphasis added]
[Editor's Note: The refinement of the nations aligned against the Jewish state has clearly narrowed down to three belligerents, namely Iran, Syria and Hezbollah. For years now, it has become apparent that Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other Islamic powers have no intention of joining the Persian cabal in their forthcoming collision with Israel. Furthermore, Iran's diplomatic and military prowess indicates they are far more dangerous that previously thought. With guided ballistic missiles recently added to Iran's existing ability to deliver a nuclear payload to Tel Aviv, and NATO's military guarantees neutralized through Turkey's disenfranchisement with the Jewish state, Israel has no way to defend itself using conventional military might. In short, Israel has no choice at all but to erase Tehran from the map of the world. As Isaiah declares, the Syrian capital Damascus will receive a similar fate. The UN Security Council diplomatic action in Lebanon is now completely useless - with Hezbollah achieving full power to the North - so another layer of the little horn prophecy in Daniel 7 is about be fulfilled.
As there are multiple indicators this event is imminent, it is strongly suggested that all believers study the prophecies of the Scriptures to be sure they have accurately identified the players. This ministry has identified Israel with the Little Horn prophecies for the last 8 years. Unfortunately, as huge numbers of believers reject the Little Horn identity of Israel, instead opting for the racist 'chosen people' myth propagated by the False Prophet (the so-called "church"), they are primed for a massive chorus of "Who is like unto the Beast [Israel], Who is able to make war with him?” (Revelation 13:4) – thus, sealing their fate.
